MPs are signing Early Day Motions to show their support for the urgent need for properly moderated, public scientific debate about the continued claim that the results of experiments on laboratory animal models are able to find effective new treatments for human patients and thereby save human lives. The conditions for these public scientific debates have been endorsed by Britain’s leading human rights defence barrister Michael Mansfield QC.The medical experts who provide our evidence will represent our position in the debate, and their opposition will be provided by a scientist from the animal experimentation community’s public relation’s group ‘Understanding Animal Research’ (UAR).
PLEASE HELP US! At the time of writing, UAR still have not been able to submit the name of the scientist who will be their main speaker at this event, and this is delaying the debate indefinitely. Please ask your MP to sign EDM 22 and help us speed up the realization of this vital debate. Visit EDM 22’s facebook page where you’ll find steps 1-4 guiding you through everything you’ll need to locate your MP and send a template letter ask him/her to support this life saving initiative.
